BBC Breakfast presenter forced to confess why she "sprinted out" the studio

BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker forced Louise Minchin to reveal why she 'sprinted out' the studio.

The pair were presenting a segment on Woodstock Festival, when Dan interrupted to question Louise.

Dan said: "I noticed about half-an-hour ago that during the regional news you sprinted out the studio.

"And I believe it was to get some of Sally Nugent's banana bread."

This left Louise and Sally in stitches as Dan added: "It is nice though isn't it?"

Louise said: "I feel a bit bad now."

Sally said: "It's gone, it was a good one wasn't it?"

Louise said: "Yes, rum-soaked raisins."

But Sally cut-in saying: "Shush that's the secret. You're not meant to tell anyone."

Dan said: "It was a real pep up at half past five this morning."

As well as presenting BBC Breakfast, Louise has been a main anchor for the BBC News Channel since 2003.

She’s also a regular presenter of the BBC News at One.

Dan took over from Bill Turnbull as the presenter of BBC Breakfast in February 2016.
