BBC Breakfast live broadcast stopped by protester claiming it's 'anti-British'

A protester stopped live BBC Breakfast outside broadcast from a fruit and vegetable market.

Business correspondent Nina Warhurst was presenting a segment on supermarket supplies and the rate of inflation in the UK, when the protest emerged from behind boxes of fruit and vegetables.

The protester, who was holding a piece of paper that said 'Anti British BBC", was wearing sunglasses and a woolly hat. Nina turned to the camera and said "Oh my goodness".

She turned to the protester and said: "I am so sorry, can we discuss this later."

It then cut back to the studio and presenters Louise Minchin and Dan Walker who described the incident as "unfortunate".

It was a dramatic moment for Louise who is presenting for the last time after 20 years with the show.
