Sarah Harding's heartbroken fans were angry as BBC Breakfast spelled her name incorrectly during a TV tribute.
The tragic Girls Aloud star's death was being discussed on the morning show.
Execs asked her devastated friend Lizzie Cundy on to speak about the singing star's incredible life - but she was left red-faced at their blunder.
With the 39-year-old's pal appearing on screen from her home in Farnham, Hampshire, the caption read: "Lizzie Cundy, friend of Sarah Hardy."
Lizzie and Sarah's fans expected better and were horrified at the error, less than 24 hours after her death was announced by her distraught mum.

Many took to twitter to hit out at the slack broadcaster.
One wrote: "Who's Sarah Hardy? At least get her name right on the caption. Pretty lazy and disrespectful."
Another said: "Hardy? Really @bbc?"
A third fumed: "BBC Breakfast interview regarding the death of Sarah Harding put up a caption saying Sarah Hardy. So important to get those details right, especially when dealing with grief. Do better."
Lizzie didn't let the caption faux pas put her off her stride, telling everyone what a "wonderful" friend she was.
Sarah bravely went public with her cancer diagnosis last August and she passed away on Sunday morning.
Sarah's mum broke the news on Instagram hours later.
In a post next to a black and white image of her daughter she told fans and friends the tragic news.
"It's with deep heartbreak that today I'm sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away," she said.
"Many of you will know of Sarah's battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning.
"I'd like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year.
"It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.
"I know she won't want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease - she was a bright, shining star and I hope that's how she can be remembered instead."
Her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle led the tributes on social media.
Emotional Nicola shared a photo of the two pop stars together.
She posted: "I can't accept that this day has come. My heart is aching and all day everything we went through together has raced round my mind... a part of me or us isn't here anymore and it's unthinkable and painful and utterly cruel.
"Electric girl, you made us. You gave it everything and still with a smile."
Nadine posted: "I am absolutely devastated. I can't think of words that could possibly express how I feel about this girl and what she means to me."
