The BBC has grown accustomed to dealing with viewer complaints about bias, scheduling, taste and decency, that sort of thing. But the corporation's complaints website opened up a whole new can of worms when it responded to viewer complaints about BBC1 documentary, Undercover Soldier. The issue? "We've received complaints from viewers who felt that the programme was of a poor quality." Monkey hears at least 150 people have to complain before the BBC feels compelled to make such a response. If quality control becomes the focus of viewer complaints, then pity the duty log chap on BBC3.
