BBC 6 Music changes the breakfast menu

It's a weird way to celebrate your fifth birthday. BBC 6 Music today marked its half-decade with a change of breakfast show host. Yes, that's right: a change of presenter in one of its highest-profile slots, replacing Phill Jupitus, who was there from the station's launch, with Shaun Keaveny. Well, I suppose it dodges the cliché of jelly, ice cream and a candle-laden cake.

So how are you 6 Music listeners out there feeling? Bereft of Jupitus? Charmed by Keaveny's laidback, slow-build humour? Or is at all about the music, rather than the presenters, on this digital station for listeners with a long-standing affection for fine tunes? Keaveny clearly fits in with this demographic: twice in his first breakfast show this morning, he referred wistfully to record purchases - that's two separate purchases, recalled in exhaustive detail - in 1989. I'm guessing this will very much endear him to 6 Music listeners, but is that enough to make you want to wake up to him?
