- BBC 5Live presenter Rachel Burden announced she is stepping down from the station’s breakfast show in January next year, after 15 years, alongside co-host Rick Edwards.
- Burden became emotional on air, explaining that she felt it was time to 'poke myself out of my comfort zone' and 'do something new' due to shifting personal priorities.
- Naga Munchetty , currently of BBC Breakfast , is set to replace Burden and Edwards in the 5Live breakfast slot.
- Burden will remain at BBC 5Live, moving to host the weekday mid-morning programme, while Rick Edwards will continue presenting 'Fighting Talk'.
- Separately, Burden also confirmed she would no longer be presenting on BBC Breakfast's Sunday morning shows, a change attributed to BBC budget cuts .
