BBAU likely to offer job linked courses

LUCKNOW: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is likely to offer nearly half a dozen course from the academic session 2022-23. The university authorities are busy finalizing the list of industry-oriented courses, mainly from the health sector, to provide maximum benefit to students as well as the society.

The courses which are the top priority of the university include an undergraduate course in hospital management, considering the pandemic situation, and MSc (economics) to nurture good economists for the development of the country.

“We want to offer courses that are unique and have high employability. We may consider courses related to paramedical sciences, hospital management, MSc (economics), among others. A team of academic experts will finalize the new courses,” said BBAU vice-chancellor Prof Sanjay Singh.

“We aim to start at least six new courses from this academic session. We are preferring courses that can further strengthen the healthcare sector of the country keeping coronavirus pandemic in view,” he said. The university could not introduce any new course for the last two years due to Covid-19 pandemic. According to BBAU officials, MSc (economics) course will include implementation of efficient business models, which analyze all economic factors such as import-export, logistical movements, human contribution, development of work ethics, and market crash.
