As we wave goodbye to the 2026 Major season, after a spectacular week at Royal Lytham & St. Annes for the AIG Women's Open, we look ahead to the final regular PGA Tour event on the calendar.
Following the Wyndham Championship, the top-70 will embark on three playoff events culminating in the Tour Championship at East Lake, but who will make it?
The Wyndham Championship field is set and there is plenty on the line for many who tee it up this week, so who is our resident betting expert backing to take the trophy?
Below, Baz shares his best bets at Sedgefield Country Club - including a rising star who many are tipping to do big things in the game...

Top Tip: Jackson Koivun To Win @ BetMGM
I was very impressed by Jackson Koivun when he won a couple of starts ago at the 3M Open - especially after being unsure on whether to believe the hype around him.
Interestingly, there's good correlation between the venue he won at, TPC Twin Cities, and Sedgefield Country Club - and you know how much I love to bang on about the importance of that.
Koivun was also fifth in this tournament last year, which is impressive course form for someone so early in their career, but a year later he is more experienced at this level and poses an even greater threat.
He has played 18 rounds of competitive golf on the PGA Tour this season and posted sub-70 rounds in 13 of them, including a 61 and a 64, but he also ranks well for driving accuracy and SG: Approach this season, which will be crucial on a positional, second-shot golf course.
Many are billing him as the next superstar in the men's professional game, and while I think that might be a little premature, I believe another win could raise a few more eyebrows.
Next Best Tip: Ryan Gerard To Win @ BetMGM
Ryan Gerard has played great golf in patches this year - and he is on one of those hot streaks right now.
After a T9 finish at the Open Championship, Gerard followed up impressively with a T8 finish last week at the Rocket Classic.
He started 2026 with back-to-back runner-up finishes and will be gutted not to have won the Memorial Tournament a couple of months back after losing out in a playoff to JT Poston.
Three second place finishes and a further four efforts in the top-11 highlight the quality that Gerard possesses, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him add a second PGA Tour title to this resume pretty soon.
Gerard has gained strokes on the field in every area of his game over the past three months, but he is also fairly accurate and strong on approach - making him a great fit for Sedgefield Country Club despite his previous performances in this event.
Value Tip: Ben Kohles To Win @ BetMGM
I still haven't completely forgiven Ben Kohles for dumping his approach shot into the water when I last tipped him at the John Deere Classic, as it looked like he was going to win at a huge price.
Alas, it wasn't meant to be - but I am ready to be burned again and have decided to give him another go this week.
He's playing phenomenal golf after coming over from the Korn Ferry Tour, where he also played exceptionally well by the way.
Kohles finished T23 at the US Open, T3 at the John Deere Classic, T15 at the ISCO, 9th at the 3M Open (with that great TPC Twin Cities correlation) and then T26 last week - where he shot 65 in round two.
The main reason that I really like Kohles is he ranks third for driving accuracy and 17th for SG: Approach in the last three months. That fits my model perfectly and with a bit of value in his price I like him as an each-way shout.

Pick One: Cameron Young To Win @ BetMGM
The World No.3 comes into the Wyndham Championship as the defending champion, with Young overpowering Sedgefield Country Club and claiming a six shot win that, arguably, should have been more last year.
Not only does he have course form, but a runner-up finish at The Open Championship and a T8th at last week's Rocket Classic shows he is ramping up his game ahead of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
He's the heavy favorite and, based on what I've seen in 2026, it's clear to see why.
Pick Two: Emilliano Grillo To Win @ BetMGM
Grillo's run of results has been under the radar of late, with the Argentinian claiming five top 31 finishes in his last five starts, including a T7th at the 3M Open and top 25s at the RBC Canadian Open and US Open.
Although he finished T44th at the Wyndham Championship last year, I feel that Grillo's game is suited to the course, as he ranks ninth in driving accuracy, as well as 14th in approaches from 150-175 yards and 17th in 125-150 yards.
These metrics are needed at this week's venue, where I think Grillo's great run of form will continue.
Pick One: Cameron Young To Win @ BetMGM
I should have picked him last week instead of Chris Gotterup, but it's never too late to atone for an error, so I'm backing the big-hitting beard to continue his fine form and rescue my little wobble.
Young won here last year and was T22nd the season before, plus his current stats suggest he remains in a great place from tee to hole-out.
A runner-up finish at The Open and another top-10 at the Rocket Classic tells me he's in form no matter where he plays, so I fully expect (no, demand!) another excellent result again this week.
Pick Two: Mac Meissner To Win @ BetMGM
Those who listen to our Golf Monthly Tour Issue podcast will know all about why I've backed Mac Meissner for the second time this season.
The first time was at the John Deere Classic and he finished sixth, so I'm hoping for another great week for both of us.
To be honest, Meissner needs it more as he's 71st in the FedEx Cup rankings and knows making the cut is the minimum requirement at Sedgefield Country Club.
The American is a touch erratic off the tee but really comes into his own the closer to the hole he is.
And with a runner-up finish here last year adding on to a T12th performance in 2024, I'm optimistic Meissner can enjoy another strong Wyndham Championship and catapult me back into the running.
Pick One: Justin Thomas To Win @ BetMGM
Thomas is currently 40th in the FedEx Cup so needs a good few weeks to secure his spot at the Tour Championship, and I'm confident he can make the move up into the top 30 before East Lake.
He is winless so far this season but he does have seven top-20 finishes on the PGA Tour, with best results including a T8 at The Players and a T4 at the PGA.
He doesn't always play the Wyndham but he was T12th here in his last start three years ago. He is coming in well rested after making the cut at The Open two weeks ago, and I expect to see him having a good week.
Pick One: Ryo Hisatsune To Win @ BetMGM
Hisatsune is quietly having a very good season, with just one missed cut from 22 events. He was T2 at the Farmers to start the year and has had three top-10s since.
The Japanese player has not been great on the greens this year so I am looking for him to hole a few putts this week. If he does, I think he can challenge, just like he did two years ago when he was T3rd.
