Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth seen 17 years after quitting Hollywood and becoming recluse

Yasmine Bleeth made a rare public outing this week, 17 years after she quit Hollywood.

The former Baywatch star, now 51, shot to fame when she played Caroline Holden in the 90s, but she hasn't been pictured in public in years.

She struggled with substance abuse problems while on the show, resulting in her being fired by producers for cocaine use.

But Yasmine was all smiles when she was pictured taking her dog out for a walk in Los Angeles.

The brunette actress donned a blue and red patterned maxi dress but kept her arms covered up in a baggy grey hoodie.

She wore a pair of strappy Birkenstock sandals and flashed a coat of red nail polish on her toes.

Her locks were worn in a messy ponytail and she appeared to be wearing minimal makeup for the casual outing.

Yasmine was seen taking her pooch out on a lead and even smiled for photos.

At one point she appeared to struggle as she picked the dog up to carry her in her arms.

Yasmine was only meant to be a guest appearance in Baywatch but proved to be so popular she stayed for four seasons.

She appeared in 72 episodes in total and was on the show for five years.

But Yasmine's career fell apart due to her substance abuse problems, with film and TV studios blacklisting her because she was considered difficult to work with.

The TV star was arrested in 2001 after police found cocaine in her car following a crash.

She was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service.

In rehab she met strip club owner Paul Cerrito and the pair tied the knot in August 2002.

They are still together and split their time between LA and Arizona.
