The bakery and butchers are back in business in Bayside after a tough lockdown.
Dublin Live spoke with Andy and Miggie earlier today in the busy North Dublin shopping centre.
Pavlova Passion Bakers and Gleesons Butchers offer top quality, mouth-watering baked goods and meat for reasonable prices, and here’s what they had to say about their business.
Miggie explained: “We were originally only a bakery and with lockdown, we got a bigger premises so we decided to take in meat so people can get their dinner and dessert in the same place.
“People go in to look at the meat and then they say ‘we may as well get something for after the tea’ and we sell them the cakes too, it’s great.
“Everything here is easy for people that are working and just want to throw something in at the end of the day and it’s done and dusted.
“It’s a brilliant combination, we get people coming in to get their lunch then some dessert.
“It’s all fresh, it’s an old fashioned bakery where you get your cream cakes, donuts, eclairs, all the old fashioned stuff.”
You can get two types of meat for just €9 and there’s also the option of buying noodles for a stir fry, wings, tender joints, meatballs from Italy, potatoes and vegetables.
You can buy full dinners if you’re from a busy family or a single dinner if you’re wanting to have something for yourself.
If you have a sweet tooth, you can buy Bueno donuts, a variety of cakes, cupcakes, cup cake tiers or novelty cakes.
You can get your bread too as well as scones, soda bread, batch bread and sourdough.
Owner Andy added: “We were five years in the small section and one year here, so I’ve been in the business for six years now.
“We do a high quality meat offering and we thought two would go well with the bakery. We’re actually a butcher baker, dinner baker.
“We know everyone, we’ve good chats, good laughs with the customers.”
