Baylor’s Kalani Brown reacts to White House’s fast food: ‘OK, Donnie’

The Baylor women’s basketball team visited the White House on Monday, becoming the first women’s title team to make such a visit during the Trump presidency.

In fact, the Lady Bears were the first college or professional basketball team to take a White House visit under Trump. But as we saw with Clemson’s and North Dakota State football’s White House visit, Baylor was served an array of reheated fast food.

Photos of the meal, consisting of Burger King, Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s and Wendy’s, made rounds on social media Monday. While the White House traded the silver platters for heated buffet trays, some Baylor players weren’t exactly enthused to have the lukewarm fast food.

Baylor star Kalani Brown posted to her Instagram Story a real-time reaction to the fast-food feast. It went something like this:

She said, laughing in disbelief over the subpar spread of old fast food:

“OK, Donnie. Cool.”

Just look at head coach Kim Mulkey’s reaction to the spread.

The White House initially claimed it served the fast food to Clemson because the government shutdown put a strain on the kitchen staff.

But after serving fast food to both North Dakota State and Baylor, this seems more like Trump thinking elite athletes like fast food than anything to do with a now-resolved shutdown.
