Bayern Munich president slams Man City and PSG 's*** money' and mocks Champions League record

Bayern Munich's honorary president Uli Hoeness has renewed the club's criticism of Manchester City's ownership as he launched an attack on the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain.

There is little love lost between City and Bayern, with animosity between the two clubs growing in recent years due in large part to the Germans criticisms of City's financial model.

While Bayern are governed by the German 50+1 model of ownership, City are owned by Sheikh Mansour and have disrupted the European elite football scene in the last decade along with PSG, whose owners are Qatari.

In the past two years, both City and PSG have reached their first Champions League finals, with PSG losing to Bayern in 2020 and City falling to Chelsea last season, after beating PSG in the semi-final.

However, Hoeness has revealed his joy at both clubs' failure to land the trophy as he criticised PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Speaking to the 11 Leben podcast, the former Bayern player, general manager and president said: "So far they haven't won anything. Nothing at all. The two associations don't have a single Champions League title.

"They will continue to lose against us. Not always, but sometimes. That has to be the goal, and if we win against them, I'm really happy.

"This is what stimulates me to show them, 'your s****y money, that's not enough!'"

Referring to Al-Khelaifi, Hoeness said: "The difference between him and me is: I worked hard for the money and he got it as a gift. We put it at his disposal and he doesn’t need to work for that. When he wants a player, he will find his emir.“
