Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeneß has given an update on his side's pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi after the winger's injury threw a spanner in their summer transfer plans.
The Budesliga club's interest in Chelsea's wonderkid is well known after they tried to sign him during the January transfer window and they had plans to reignite that interest during the coming summer.
However, Hudson-Odoi suffered a ruptured achilles in the Blues' 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday and went under the knife on Wednesday and now faces a period of rehabilitation to be ready for the start of next season.

Bayern remain interested but that injury will have a huge impact on what they are able to do in the summer, while Chelsea want to tie their young star down to a new contract after his amazing breakout season.
It remains to be seen what happens over the summer in relation to Bayern and the club president, Hoeneß, doesn't want to make statements about Hudson-Odoi while he remains in recovery from his injury.
As reported by BILD , Hoeneß said: "I think you're going to keep worrying about him. But at a stage when he's on the operating table right now, it doesn't make sense to make statements."
