Bayern Munich 'plan new Leroy Sane bid' despite Ivan Perisic signing and more Man City transfer rumours

Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to return for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane in January, reports in Germany claim.

Bayern have chased Sane all summer, but an ACL injury suffered in the Community Shield means the winger will be out of action until next year, ending the interest for now.

Ivan Perisic has since joined Bayern on an initial loan deal, but Bild now say the German champions could return for Sane in January.

The report says Bayern are considering three options - make a reduced bid for Sane before their transfer deadline of September 2, make a bid in January, or wait until he is fully fit and bid again next summer.

Of those options, the report says it seems most likely that Bayern will wait until next summer, but they add this option runs the risk of Sane signing a new contract in the meantime - hence the option of bidding in January.

Meanwhile, Diario Vasco claim homegrown rules were the only reason Eibar goalkeeper Asier Riesgo did not join City this summer.

Riesgo, 35, was strongly linked with a move to City to become the third choice goalkeeper with a view to becoming a goalkeeping coach in the EDS after a year.

The report says a deal was agreed, but City had reached their limit of foreign players allowed in their squad, so they instead turned their attentions to Derby County stopper Scott Carson instead.
