Bayern Munich open talks with Man City over £90m Leroy Sane transfer

Bayern Munich have finally opened talks with Manchester City for £90million Leroy Sane.

The Bundesliga champions’ Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic is leading negotiations as the club look to secure their man they have had as their prime target since the start of the summer.

Sane has been a long-term target for the Bavarian club after Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben both left the club at the end of the contracts.

Earlier this summer Bayern balked at City’s £90million valuation for 23-year-old German international Sane.

Sane played a big part of City's Premier League winning campaign last season contributing to a total of 20 goals, spilt evenly with 10 goals and 10 assists.

Pep Guardiola wants Leroy Sane to stay at Man City amid Bayern interest

Last month Bayern club president Uli Hoeness suggested his club had been priced out by City’s “insane” financial demands.

But head coach Niko Kovac has admitted: "We all know that Leroy Sane is our dream player. The public knows that, we know that.

"You can see that the transfer is not easy. But I know that our people are working very hard to make it happen. We will do everything to realise this transfer.”

It is clear that the Bundesliga champions are eager to complete this move for the highly-rated wideman, but with Guardiola wanting Sane to stay, can or will a deal be reached?

Since his move from FC Shalke 04 in August 2016 the winger has racked up 133 appearances in all competitions, playing a total of 8,939 minutes.

Within those 133 appearances Sane has scored 39 goals (25 in the Premier League) and has made 45 assists (31 in the Premier League).
