Bayern Munich 'meet' Man City star Leroy Sane's representatives and more transfer rumours

Bayern Munich chief Hasan Salihamidzic met with the new representatives of Manchester City star Leroy Sane to discuss a transfer - according to reports.

Sane has been heavily linked with a return to the Bundesliga for a number of months after Bayern failed to secure his signature during the summer transfer window.

The winger hasn't featured for the Blues since August after suffering a serious knee injury in the Community Shield and his return has been delayed by the postponement of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, speculation over his future continues with SportBILD reporting Bayern have held talks with Sane's new representatives LIAN Sports.

The publication claims Salihamidzic met with LIAN Sports in Munich to discuss Sane moving to the Allianz Arena in the upcoming transfer window.

It is understood club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was not present.

The same report claims that Bayern could face competition from both Barcelona and Real Madrid to land Sane who have set a minimum €80million price tag for negotiations.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are reportedly interested in young Schalke defender Malick Thiaw but will be forced to battle their Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool to secure his services.

The 18-year-old recently made his Bundesliga debut against Hoffenheim and is believed to have caught the eye of Liverpool's scouting team.

The Daily Mail report Manchester City have joined the race to sign the towering defender in the summer.

Thiaw has a reported release clause of just £7m and Schalke are aiming to tie him down to a new contract.
