Bayern Munich complete double swoop for Chelsea starlets

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of two of Chelsea's young prospects.

The deal will see Jamal Musiala and Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi head to the German giants as part of their youth academy.

Musiala is set to link up with Miroslav Klose's under-17 side, while Arrey-Mbi linking up with Martin Demichelis and Danny Schwarz in the under-19s.

Speaking to the club website, junior manager Jochen Sauer said: "With Jamal and Bright, we've gained two hopeful talents for our junior teams.

"We are convinced of their qualities and their development potential and assume that they will quickly settle on campus."

Musiala and Arrey-Mbi have spent eight and five years respectively in the Chelsea academy showing the good work that continues to be done there.

Of course they're not the first starlets who Bayern have targeted with Callum Hudson-Odoi recently attracting attention from the giants.

The 18-year-old is tipped for big things at Stamford Bridge after bursting onto the scene last term.

Speculation started to mount over his future in January with Bayern Munich having a number of bids turned down for the winger, with Chelsea hoping to keep him in west London.

That may be a little bit easier now that Eden Hazard has moved to Real Madrid, meaning that Hudson-Odoi may have a much better chance of establishing himself as a key part of Frank Lampard's side.
