Bayern Munich boss responds to Liverpool as Thiago Alcantara transfer 'agreed'

Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has poured cold water on the claims Thiago Alcantara has agreed a transfer with Liverpool.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Thiago has already thrashed out personal terms with the Reds ahead of a summer switch.

Bayern Munich reportedly want €35million (£31.5m) to sell the Spaniard, and to receive the transfer fee in one lump sum.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are said to want to pay for the player in installments.

But Flick's latest comments suggest there will be no transaction of any kind, as he intends to play Thiago in Bayern Munich's clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

"I hope that he won't leave," said Flick. "The surgery was not so long ago.

"But everything went as planned. He can play from the start tomorrow. He is 100 per cent fit."

The Reds had been linked to Timo Werner and Kalidou Koulibaly, but were priced out of both deals.

RB Leipzig were not prepared to accept a bid that failed to meet Werner's £50million release clause - a figure Liverpool couldn't match.

Koulibaly, meanwhile, is valued at £60million, and is again out of the Reds' price range.
