Bayern Munich boss outlines club's transfer stance on Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has confirmed that the European champions are interested in Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Germans were heavily linked with the winger several transfer windows ago when he was still trying to establish himself in west London.

Hudson-Odoi has since signed a lucrative new deal at Stamford Bridge but is again being linked with the exit door.

The Bundesliga has become a great environment for young English talent to flourish with Jadon Sancho the greatest exponent.

Discussions are reportedly being held between Bayern and Chelsea with Flick revealing they are huge admirers of the 19-year-old.

"He is one of the greatest talents in his position therefore it is legitimate that we at Bayern Munich deal with him," said the German.

Negotiations are regarding a loan deal with an obligation to buy the player in 12 months time.

Hudson-Odoi's playing time in west London is set to be hampered after the Blues signed Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz this summer.

The teenager is a product of the club's academy but hasn't been able to follow in the footsteps of Mason Mount by nailing down a first team spot.

He and fellow team-mates Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori have all been linked with moves away, something Frank Lampard refused to rule out.

“With all those three players I will always take those things into consideration," he said.

“I have not got an answer on any of those three. I have a good relationship with them all and speak honestly with them.

"That is one we will broach player by player over the next few days.”

It could allow Bayern to add yet another winger having signed Leroy Sane in recent months from Manchester City.

The Bavarians have been looking to replace both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery following their departures just over a year ago.
