Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick makes Erling Haaland transfer admission

Bayern Munich manager Hans-Dieter Flick has spoken about the prospect of signing Manchester United and Chelsea target Erling Haaland.

The prolific Norweigian striker has scored an incredible 45 goals in 46 matches since joining Borussia Dortmund in January 2020 and has previously been tipped for a move to the Premier League.

However, after watching the 20-year-old score twice against his side, in their Bundesliga clash this weekend, Bayern boss Flick refused to rule out a move for the player.

"He is a player who is certainly a possibility for many top clubs, who are also thinking about him. That's what makes him stand out, of course," Flick told Sky Germany .

"As for the future, we all don't know. Things can move very, very quickly in football. That's why I'm not really worried about it."

Haaland scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season as Dortmund raced into a shock 2-0 lead at the Allianz Arena.

However, the Bundesliga champions fought back to claim a 4-2 win and maintain a 2-point lead in the table ahead of challengers RB Leipzig.

Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski scored a hat trick to take his tally in all competitions to an incredible 37 goals for the season.

At 32 year-old, the Polish hitman shows no sign of letting up but Bayern may look to Haaland as a long-term replacement for their number one striker.

"A lot is possible in life and you can't rule anything out. But it's future music and he has a long-term contract in Dortmund," Flick added.

Haaland, who has a reported release clause of £66m which can be activated in the summer of 2022, had been linked with a move to Old Trafford and a potential reunion with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who previously managed his compatriot at Molde.

Premier League rivals Chelsea are also keen on the player with reports suggesting the Blues will make a move this summer to secure his services.

Real Madrid are also among the teams in the mix, with the Bernabeu said to be the player’s preferred destination, but financial issues with the Spanish giants may prove a stumbling block for any potential transfer.
