Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick breaks silence on Michael Cuisance's failed Leeds United transfer

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has disputed the claim that Michael Cuisance's proposed transfer to Leeds United collapsed following the failure of a medical.

The 21-year-old was in line for a move to join the Whites from the Champions League winners, having travelled to Leeds last week to undergo a medical.

However, a move then fell apart and it has been widely reported that the reason for that was due to a failed medical - but Flick has disputed that claim.

“The situation is certainly not that easy for him now. It was certainly a setback, but I can say that our medical staff have a completely different opinion," he said ahead of Bayern's Bundesliga clash against Hertha Berlin on Sunday.

“That’s why we’ve told him we support him in every way. For him the position is difficult.”

Intriguingly, Marcelo Bielsa himself refused to comment on the speculation during a press conference last week and referenced the collapse of Daniel James' proposed transfer previously.

The Wales international had also travelled to Leeds for the completion of a move from Swansea City mid-way through Bielsa's first season in England before the plug was pulled by Swansea.
