Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick admitted he expects to lose some of his star players this summer.
It comes as key man Thiago Alcantara is being heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
The ECHO understands the Spain international is not currently an active target for the Reds, but that's not to say the club's stance won't change should things develop during the transfer window.
Following Bayern's Champions League triumph this weekend Flick has hinted he is prepared for the likes of Thiago to depart in the coming weeks.
The 55-year-old told Die Zeit : "[We will] lose some players who have tremendous quality, we have to deal with that.
"If I could continue to work with this squad, that would be nice, but that is not the case."
This comes as reports are suggesting the 29-year-old midfielder will make the switch to Anfield.

Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had fuelled those exit rumours earlier this week when he admitted it looked as though Thiago had said his goodbyes at an event celebrating the club's recent European Cup success.
He told Bild: "Yesterday, we had an event with our employees at Allianz Arena, and Thiago's whole family were there.
"They walked around in great nostalgia, I would almost say.
"It looked very much like he had decided to say goodbye.
"We have read a lot about Liverpool, but they haven't contacted us yet."
