Nadiem Amiri has broken his silence on the speculation linking his Bayer Leverkusen teammate Kai Havertz with a move to Chelsea this summer.
football.london believes Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Havertz from Leverkusen following talks between the clubs.
It is understood that the only significant remaining in any potential deal being done is the Bundesliga side's asking price.
The 21-year-old Germany international has already signalled his desire to move to West London and will likely sign a five-year deal once the clubs can agree a fee.
Leverkusen are looking for more than £80million for their captain, who scored 12 times in the Bundesliga as they fell just short of Champions League qualification.
But when asked about the speculation surrounding Havertz leaving the club, Amiri told SPORT1: "We don’t want to talk about it at all.
"In training we are very relaxed, nobody would go there and speak to him and ask 'What are you doing now?'
"The boy is concerned with that himself.
"I hope he makes the right decision.
"There are always a few jokes and a few things said. But we need Kai! We also have to leave his head alone."
