Baxters Food Group appoints Ruth Davidson as director

Former Scottish Conservative party leader Ruth Davidson has been appointed as a director of Baxters Food Group.

The recently-appointed House of Lords member Baroness Davidson joined the board on 28 July.

The Fochaber-based company uploaded her appointment to Companies House yesterday. It is understood that she will serve as a non-executive director for a three year term.

Davidson was the leader of the Scottish Conservatives from 2011 until she stepped down in 2019 as leader, then standing down her position as an MSP in May 2021.

When she was appointed as a life peer to the House of Lords she became Baroness Davidson of Lundin Links.

The appointment follows Davidson joining the board of mutual life insurance, pensions and investment company Royal London.
