Baus admits he has ‘no place’ in Los Ratones LoL roster

Popular League of Legends streamer TheBausffs, known to fans simply as Baus, has opened up about his uncertain future with Los Ratones, admitting that he feels increasingly disconnected from the team’s push toward a more professional structure.

During a recent stream, he spoke candidly about his concerns, telling his viewers, “We are turning more and more into a professional athlete team, you know, and I have no place in that.” His words struck a chord with fans who have followed his career for his unconventional playstyle and relaxed, entertainment-first approach to League of Legends.

The Swedish top laner made it clear that his focus remains firmly on streaming rather than full-time competitive play. “I’m not going to give up my streaming career for pro play,” he said during the stream, firmly rejecting the idea of prioritizing esports over content creation. When fans asked whether he might compete in the LEC, Baus doubled down, explaining that streaming has always been his main priority and that he has no desire to compromise it for professional obligations.

According to Baus, recent discussions within Los Ratones exposed the growing divide between his goals and the team’s direction. He described a recent meeting where it became obvious that the organization wanted to adopt a more structured, meta-driven approach.

“I just kind of want to play my own game,” he told his audience, admitting that he struggles with the idea of conforming to rigid team strategies. He also mentioned that he fears losing his enjoyment of League of Legends if forced to play in a more disciplined, formulaic manner.

As the team prepared for EMEA Masters, the streamer said the workload had become overwhelming. “Some days I wasn’t even able to stream because the time schedule is really so cooked,” he explained, noting that he spent up to six hours daily in scrims, leaving little time for his usual content creation. He revealed that, at times, he could only stream twice a week, something he found difficult to accept given that his career thrives on consistency and community interaction.

Los Ratones, originally founded by former LEC caster Caedrel, began as a lighthearted, content-focused team that shared scrims and behind-the-scenes moments with fans. However, as the roster achieved competitive success and earned spots in major tournaments, the team naturally shifted toward a more serious environment with stricter practice schedules and performance expectations.

For Baus, that transformation has created a conflict between creativity and structure, two forces that rarely coexist in the world of high-level esports. While he hasn’t officially confirmed his next move, Baus made it clear that any continued involvement in competitive play would require balance.

He wants to protect his freedom as a creator while staying true to his distinctive playstyle. As Los Ratones prepares for its next chapter and possible participation in the LEC, the org faces big questions about its roster and direction.
