Battlefield 6, being an EA title, had players anticipating it'd come to Xbox Game Pass. While that remains a possibility, we know for certain it won't happen on release. What will happen, however, is that EA Play Pro subscribers will get BF6 day one, for the low price of $17.
As spotted by GameSpot, EA is offering numerous benefits for EA Play Pro subscribers regarding Battlefield 6, including day-one availability and open beta early access. The $17 per month subscription is EA's top tier, one not associated with the integrated Xbox Game Pass version of EA Play. This means that, unfortunately, Xbox Game Pass subscribers won't be getting the latest and, hopefully, the greatest Battlefield on release, but can still subscribe to an alternative service.
If you do happen to be an EA Play Pro subscriber, you'll be able to play the BF6 open beta on Aug. 7 during the early access window. In that case, you'd do good to preload the game starting today, Aug. 4, so you don't waste time waiting for the installation to finish while everyone else is out there blowing the Brooklyn Bridge into the Stone Age.

All this isn't to say that Battlefield 6 won't come to Game Pass at all. Almost every EA game ever made can be accessed through Game Pass' integrated EA Play subscription, including a ton of Battlefield and other AAA mainline EA games. There are few reasons EA wouldn't eventually bring Battlefield 6, at least in a time-limited format, to Microsoft's subscription service, given how many players it tends to bring to EA's games (remember Battlefront 2).
Battlefield 6 is slated to release on Oct. 10, with two open beta weekends on Aug. 9-10 and 14-17, with an early access beta window on Aug. 7-8.
