Battlefield Studios has released "Battlefield 6" update 1.4.1.5, bringing a major fix for the crashing issues that affected players using modern NVIDIA RTX graphics cards.
The update also resolves several gameplay bugs introduced after the launch of Season 4, making the game more stable across multiple modes.
The RTX crashes had become one of the biggest complaints from the community. Many players were unable to complete matches without the game unexpectedly closing. Developers previously advised affected users to temporarily install an older NVIDIA graphics driver while they searched for the cause of the problem.
'Battlefield 6' RTX Crash Issue Has Been Fixed
The highlight of update 1.4.1.5 is the long-awaited solution to the RTX crashing problem. The issue mainly occurred on maps featuring large bodies of water, which became more common after Season 4 reintroduced naval combat to the "Battlefield" series.
When the crashes first appeared, Battlefield Studios recommended rolling back to NVIDIA driver version 596.49, per TweakTown. This was the final release before the newer 600-series drivers became available. Many players believed the updated drivers were responsible for the instability.
However, the latest patch confirms that the game itself was behind several of the reported crashes. With the fix now available, players should be able to use the latest NVIDIA drivers without relying on older versions for stability.
More Stability Fixes Included
The update also addresses several other crash-related issues.

Players should no longer experience crashes while using the custom search feature. Another fix targets crashes that occurred when modifying attachments for the SOR-300SC carbine.
These improvements help explain why NVIDIA never officially listed "Battlefield 6" as a known driver-related issue. The latest patch shifts the focus back to game-side optimizations rather than graphics driver compatibility.
Battle Royale Bugs Receive Important Fixes
Battle Royale mode also benefits from several quality-of-life improvements.
A bug that repeatedly played the lobby join sound while loading into a Battle Royale match has been eliminated. This creates a smoother transition from the menu into gameplay.
Battlefield Studios also fixed a synchronization issue involving supply crates in Portal Battle Royale. Previously, crates could become out of sync if a player crashed and later rejoined the same match. That problem has now been resolved.
Vehicle and Gameplay Improvements
Vehicle gameplay received attention as well.
A bug that caused tanks to remain stunned after players entered them immediately following the end of a sabotage event has been fixed. The issue could affect combat and gave players an unintended gameplay advantage.
By removing this exploit, vehicle battles should now feel more balanced and consistent.
'Battlefield 6' Continues Improving After Season 4
While the RTX crash fix is the biggest highlight, "Battlefield 6" update 1.4.1.5 delivers improvements across weapons, vehicles, Battle Royale, and overall game stability.
For players who stepped away because of frequent crashes or frustrating bugs, this patch is a game-changer in the making for all fans. Of course, we expect some minor hiccups as improvements roll over, but it would be worth the wait in the long run.
