Everything coming to Battlefield 6 Season 3
Battlefield 6 Multiplayer
New maps are coming to the core Battlefield 6 game, along with gameplay improvements and quality-of-life updates. New weapons are not discussed in EA’s official blog, but you can expect them to arrive as Season 3 progresses.
Railway to Golmud and Cairo Bazaar maps

Railway to Golmud is the headline addition, and it’s massive. The map is four times bigger than Mirak Valley and reimagines the classic Battlefield 4 battleground with modern tech and improved flow.
It keeps the chaotic sandbox feel, blending infantry combat with tanks, jets, and helicopters. The standout feature is its moving railway, which constantly shifts the frontline and forces teams to adapt on the fly.
Cairo Bazaar, inspired by Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar, arrives later in the season. It’s a tighter, infantry-focused map with limited vehicles, offering a faster, more close-quarters experience.
Mortar changes and gameplay improvements

Mortars are being updated in Battlefield 6 Season 3 to encourage more team-based play. They will no longer regenerate ammo while deployed, their accuracy has been reduced at longer ranges, and their resupply time, already increased to 30 seconds in previous update, remains slower to limit frequent use.
The goal in implementing these significant Mortar changes is to reduce camping, promote movement, and reward better coordination with teammates.
On the gameplay side, BF6 Season 3 builds on earlier improvements to hit registration and netcode, meaning you can expect clearer damage feedback, more consistent gunplay, and better overall combat readability. Weapon tuning is also ongoing, with recoil adjustments, especially on controllers, designed to make gunfights feel more balanced and skill-based, particularly at longer ranges.
Vehicles, ping system, and matchmaking

Vehicle gameplay, especially tanks, is getting attention in Season 3, with improvements focused on responsiveness and consistency. A deeper dive for this update is expected soon.
The ping system is also being refined. It will be faster, more reliable, and easier to use in Season 3, with cleaner visuals that reduce clutter during fights.
Matchmaking remains a work in progress, especially with the arrival of Ranked Battle Royale. The focus is on faster queues and better match quality, particularly for players with crossplay enabled.
Battlefield REDSEC
REDSEC is set to have massive changes, including the introduction of Ranked Play as well as the return of BR Solos.
Ranked Battle Royale and Battle Royale Solos

Ranked Battle Royale debuts in Season 3, starting with Quads as part of a live testing phase. It’s a permanent addition that will evolve based on player feedback.
Meanwhile, Battle Royale Solos will return later in the season with improvements to pacing and fairness.
REDSEC updates
REDSEC is getting several quality-of-life upgrades, including a faster and smoother landing experience thanks to fixed loot spawns. Vehicle balance is also being adjusted, with transport vehicles becoming less effective in combat and tanks made easier to track during engagements.
Anti-vehicle options are being improved as well, giving players better tools and more reliable loot to deal with armored threats. Meanwhile, the Recon Drone is being toned down with reduced zoom and a longer cooldown to keep its impact in check.
Progression is also being updated in REDSEC, with more consistent XP rewards and lower requirements needed to level up.
EA previously outlined its 2026 roadmap for Battlefield 6, offering a preview of what players can expect throughout the year.
