The game is officially scheduled for release on Oct. 10, 2025, aligning with the franchise’s typical holiday launch window. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, there will be no version for last-gen consoles, and EA has confirmed that it has no intentions of releasing a port for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The new title is offered in two versions: the Standard Edition and the premium Phantom Edition. The Phantom Edition includes exclusive content such as four unique soldier skins, specialized weapon packages, a vehicle cosmetic, and the Battlefield Pro Token, which unlocks the first battle pass, 25 tier skips, and additional bonuses.

Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal

Battlefield 6 brings a sweeping set of new features, headlined by the introduction of the Kinesthetic Combat System, an overhaul of movement and gunplay mechanics that delivers unmatched mobility and tactical depth. New options like Drag and Revive allow players to pull downed teammates out of harm’s way, while weapon mounting on walls helps stabilize aim and reduce recoil during firefights.

The classic class system makes a powerful return, with Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer roles reimagined to elevate team dynamics. Each class now comes with unique gadgets, signature weapons, and tailored training.

Destruction, a Battlefield hallmark, is back and more dynamic than ever. Players can reshape the battlefield in real time, opening new flanking routes, demolishing enemy cover, and using the environment to gain the upper hand in every encounter.

At launch and in beta, Battlefield 6 will feature a robust lineup of multiplayer modes and maps. From the deserts of Egypt and the cliffs of Gibraltar to the urban warfare of New York City, each map is hand-crafted with distinct combat zones, optimized for specific game modes to offer diverse gameplay experiences.

Returning fan-favorite modes include Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush, alongside core FPS staples like Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, and King of the Hill. A brand-new mode, Escalation, pits two teams against each other in a race to seize and hold critical control points.
