Players will only be able to take part in one game mode, Conquest, on rocket launchpad map Orbital.

There will be four Specialists to choose from so players can get a feel of the different types of gameplay that will be available when the game launches.

Battlefield 2042's launch date has also been delayed by a month to November 19 worldwide - it was originally supposed to come out on October 22.

How to pre-load the beta

Those eager to take part in the beta will be happy to know that you'll be able to install it on your system a couple of days early.

The main benefit of this is that you won't have to spend time waiting on the launch day and get stuck in straight away.

Pre-loads for the beta begin on October 5 at 7am UTC (8am British Time).

You can pre-order the beta access via the Battlefield 2042 website here - take extra care in selecting the platform relevant to you.
