Battlefield 2042 is performing so poorly that cheats can't run on it

Battlefield 2042 has had a rocky journey since its launch back in November and it seems that even the most nefarious players are having a hard time.

Many players have reported that the all-out warfare game is packed full of issues including a wide range of bugs, glitches and sub-par performance.

In fact, the game is running so poorly that cheat makers have suspended their services because the cheats are unable to run with the game's poor performance.

Battlefield insider Tom Henderson took to Twitter after spotting that one unnamed cheat maker has discontinued its service because "the game's performance makes the cheats not work properly".

A screenshot of a message from the cheat maker says: "We will discontinue BF2042 from our store.

"All subscriptions will run out as normal but there won't be any renewals or slots available. You can still use the cheats as normal for the time being.

"Subscribers with a lifetime sub can change their subscription to any Cod title."

The message goes on to explain that there is a compatibility issue with Battlefield 2042 and cheats at the current time.

"The reason for this decision is the ongoing performance issue of the game which affects the cheat and that most people don't use their subscription anymore since the game is dying."

While Battlefield 2042 is only a couple of months old, it is true that fewer players seem to be regularly visiting the game.

Just this week the game fell off Steam's list of most-played games due to a falling player count.

Despite ongoing issues and a major loss of regular players, Battlefield's developer DICE has announced that it is working on new updates which should improve the player experience.

Announcing the recruitment of a new Studio GM on Twitter, DICE said that it remains focused on supporting Battlefield 2042 "in the years ahead".
