As we've seen in the past, a TTS Performance supercharger kit (and the very advisable accessory mods to help your machine handle itself) can wring insane performance from bikes. Remember the SuperBusa? Sure you do.
While it's true that neither the Triumph Rocket III nor the Suzuki GSX1400 (nor, as it happens, the Ariel Atom also seen in this video, lagging a bit behind the two bikes) seen here make the 370 horsepower that the SuperBusa does, they're still definitely no slouches. The Rocket III makes a claimed 320 HP, as does the Ariel Atom. Meanwhile, the GSX1400 only (only, listen to me, that sounds absolutely ridiculous) makes 220. I mean, it's all relative, isn't it?
Rich from TTS Performance might be the next best thing to a magician in his shop, but even he can't ride and drive three separate vehicles at once. So he's brought along some buddies to help, including Al Fagan from 44 Teeth.
I won't totally spoil what happens for you, but I will tell you that both Rich and Al take turns swapping both of the bikes back and forth to race them against each other. Depending upon how much you've watched either of the two race things in the past, you might have some idea of how the final result ends up.
But the real hilarity comes when Fagan, in full motorcycle leathers and with a big aero hump on the back of the suit), takes a turn in the Ariel Atom. While there is a five-point harness installed, it's fair to say that most Atom drivers don't have full moto leathers on when they attempt to climb into that seat. It ends up being a tight fit, but somehow they do manage to get him strapped in and ready to have a go in the Atom. It isn't a true speed test run; just more to be able to enjoy having done the thing at least once.
While the Atom is relatively lightweight for what is, nominally, a 'car,' it's still significantly heavier than even a relatively chonky motorcycle like the Triumph Rocket III. So it's probably not surprising to learn that the Atom doesn't seem to have even the tiniest of patches on the performance of the Rocket, even though everything going down the strip on this day is making both ridiculous power and ridiculous noises thanks to their respective superchargers.
Would you try any of these, if given the opportunity? Or would it be too much?
