Emergency crews have raced to a scene in West Lothian this afternoon after a fire broke out near Bathgate.
Fire services are still at the Murraysgate Industrial Estate in Whitburn after reports were made earlier this afternoon of a blaze in one of the units.
The estate is made up of a number of different local units and businesses, including a car valeting service and a tyre shop, however it is currently unclear where the fire began.
Emergency services are still at the scene, where it has not yet been confirmed if there are any injuries or casualties as a result of the incident.
In the last hour, local residents have seen huge plumes of thick black smoke rising above Whitburn as the fire continues to burn.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said:
"This afternoon crews were called to Murraysgate Industrial Estate concerning a building fire, and remain at the scene."
