Bathgate-based Concert Brass Band to play Christmas carols for charity

Around 20 members of Bathgate-based Newland Concert Brass are heading to Tesco in Falkirk on Thursday, December 19 to raise money for the Falkirk Branch of Parkinson’s UK.

The band will be at the store from 7pm to 9pm and will play a selection of traditional Carols and Christmas favourites such as Rudolph and Jingle Bells.

The band has been inspired to support the charity because of Alison Heenan. Alison has lived with Parkinson’s for five years and has two nieces and a nephew who play in the band.

Newland Concert Brass are based in Bathgate and their members come from across Scotland. They are an award-winning band who recently represented Scotland at the UK National Brass Band

Championships. More information about the band can be found at www.newlandconcertbrass.org.uk.
