A person has suffered a "medical episode" amid a crash on the A4 in Bristol. Emergency services were called to the scene on Bath Road, Brislington at around 1.30pm today (August 12).
A three-vehicle collision had occurred at the junction with West Town Lane near to the Lidl supermarket. The road was closed in both directions for a short time.
Photos from the scene show a red car which appears to have mounted the pavement and hit a wall. The road has since partially reopened.

At around 3.20pm, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Emergency Services were called at 1.30pm to attend a three-vehicle collision on Bath Road, Brislington at the junction with West Town Lane. No one was hurt in the collision but one person is believed to have suffered a medical episode and has gone to hospital.
"One lane has already reopened each way. The road will fully reopen once the vehicles have been recovered."
