Bath Live Business Awards 2019 winners revealed

Last week business leaders from across Bath gathered at the Bath Pavilion for the Bath Live and Bath Chronicle Business Awards.

The celebratory evening recognised some of the city's most successful entrepreneurs.

The awards were hosted by Lisa Cameron - commercial managing director of Business Live's owner Reach Plc.

Helena Langdon, head of digital and communities at Innocent, also took to the stage and whipped the crowd into a frenzy of laughs. And guests were treated to a three-course dinner.

Here's a list of all the winners from the night.

Start Up Business Of The Year sponsored by Business Live

The winner was Pure Planet.

The company is Britain’s first digital energy supplier and one of the fastest-growing businesses in Bath.

Financial, Professional and Legal Services Business Of The Year sponsored by Reach Plc

The winner was Novia Financial.

Novia Financial offer the technology, product wrappers and investment range that advisers need to deliver great outcomes for their clients.

Small Business Of The Year sponsored by Platinum Motor Group

The winner was TrueSpeed.

TrueSpeed is committed to connecting Somerset communities left behind in the race towards the digital economy, through building an ultrafast full fibre network.

Large Business Of The Year sponsored by BathLive

The winner was L & C Mortgages.

L&C Mortgages aim  to take the stress out of the mortgage process as they find the best mortgage to suit each individual client.

Innovation Award - special commendation

The winner was Three Ways School.

The school, which also received a special commendation, offers an opportunity called ‘3 Café Kitchen’, allowing students to have access to meaningful training and work experience.

Leisure and Tourism sponsored by Bath Rugby

The winner was Kaleidoscope Collection.

Kaleidoscope Collection is an independent collection of hotels in Bath. Ian Taylor is the vision behind all interiors and design which fit into the Kaleidoscope brand.

A special commendation also went to The Herschel Museum Of Astronomy. The museum honours William and Caroline Herschel who were both distinguished astronomers.

Employer Of The Year sponsored by CMD Recruitment

The winner was HGEM.

HGEM encourages employees to talk about mental health on a daily basis whilst offering a strong support network.

Business Person / Entrepreneur Of The Year sponsored by Mogers Drewett

The winner was Helen Rich of Taste Of Bath.

Taste of Bath sells Bath’s best local produce, all sourced within 15 miles. It has now become Bath’s leading corporate gifting service.

Outstanding Contribution To Bath sponsored by Stone King LLP

The winner was Chris Kane.

Chris’s previous endeavours include of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011, raising over a staggering amount of £25,000 in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’ and taking part in a bike ride from Paris to London in 2013 as a further venture entitled ‘Help for Heroes Battlefield Bike Ride’.

The winner was Pure Planet.

The night came to a close as all of the winners were invited on stage for an official group photograph just before celebration broke out and continued with our casino after party until the early hours of the morning.

The 2019 Bath Live & Bath Chronicle Business Awards was a night to remember with outstanding individuals galore and some extraordinary organisations.
