Batgirl Leslie Grace adopts Glasgow accent in video to fans after wrapping up film

Batgirl star Leslie Grace has shared her 'thank you' to the people of Glasgow – in a thick, Scottish accent.

Posting on her Instagram account, Leslie said in her normal accent: "Martino, it's our last drive to set!"

Then, as driver 'Martino' exclaimed 'For f**** sake' in his native Glaswegian accent, Leslie copied him, saying: "Oh, for f**** sake man!"

She laughed as she said: "You love us! Just a wee bit though, aee!", and Martino replied: "Leslie Grace, you are a disgrace!"

Martino then told Leslie that she had "a face fit for radio", as she danced along in the background with prosthetic blood on her face.

The video then pans to her creating a handshake with one of the security team, and then using a fire hose from a fire engine seemingly named after her by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Posting this compilation video on her Instagram, Leslie captioned it with: "In our true Glaswegian love language, I promise we love each other.

"That is officially a wrap on us out here in Glasgow and i couldn’t let the day pass without saying THANK YOU to every person on this crew who made it all happen.

"What a riiiide! Forged by fire and I’m so grateful for it! More to come that i wish I could share but i leave you with these wee lil tender moments of our last week I will hold dear in my heart…"

Earlier last month, Glasgow Live reported that part of Glasgow city centre was brought to a standstill for Batgirl as filming took place for a breathtaking high-octane chase scene.

Both Glassford Street and Ingram Street were shut off to traffic for the huge stunt sequence, which saw locals living in the area treated to a front row seat of the Hollywood action.

It saw Batgirl - played by Leslie - in hot pursuit of a Gotham City Fire Department truck on her Batbike as two people fought atop the truck.

The scene, involving Batgirl's stunt double dressed in the Batsuit, offered movie fans the first look at the suit worn by baddie Firefly - played by Brendan Fraser - in the forthcoming HBO Max flick.

HBO Max have announced that Batgirl will be released at the end of 2022.
