Batgirl blockbuster will see Glasgow transformed into Gotham again

Glasgow is gearing up for another Hollywood blockbuster movie as pre-production begins for Batgirl.

Location scouting has started as directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah shared that they had arrived at Glasgow airport yesterday.

It is understood filming has been planned for November across various parts of the city.

This comes soon after filming wrapped on another big budget superhero film The Flash at the back of July.

Co-director Adil El Arbi posted a photo from Glasgow Airport captioning it: "“Just landed in Gotham City” with bat emojis.

Production designer Christopher Glass also shared a snap of the pair in the city captioning it: "We're back!"

Leslie Grace, best known for her work on In The Heights, takes on the role of the masked vigilante Barbara Gordon in this DC Comics superhero flick.

J.K Simmons is rumoured, according to IMDB, to be reprising his role as Commissioner Gordon after starring as him in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Glasgow has soon become the Hollywood hotspot having both Indiana Jones and The Flash filming across the city in July.

The Necropolis even transformed itself into Gotham City as Robert Pattinson donned the mask and cape for his time as Batman.
