A student at Batemans Bay High School has tested positive for coronavirus and the school will close from Tuesday.

All students will be expected to complete at-home learning while contact tracing is completed and the school undergoes deep cleaning.

All staff and students at the school have been asked to isolate while contact tracing occurs.

NSW Health has asked that anyone that feels unwell or displays flu-like symptoms to get tested at one of the COVID-19 testing sites.

A pop-up testing clinic will be established at the Hanging Rock Sports Complex and will be open between 9am and 5pm for the rest of the week.

Batemans Bay experienced a small outbreak of COVID-19 in July but had not recorded any further cases for several weeks.
