Batches of Doritos Tangy Cheese tortilla chips recalled by Food Safety Authority Ireland over health fears

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has confirmed that they are recalling batches of Doritos tortilla chips over health fears.

The products that are part of the alert are several Tangy Cheese flavoured packs produced by the company.

The snacks have been recalled due to the presence of soya which has not been declared on the label.

This could pose a risk to people with a soya allergy.

The product affected by the recall (FSAI)

All Doritos Tangy Cheese 180g products with best before codes of 06/06/20 are subject to the recall.

Products with best before codes of 13/06/20 or later are not affected.

An FSAI spokesman said: "Walkers Snacks Foods is recalling the following product from the market-  Doritos Tangy Cheese 180g - as it contains soya which is not accurately declared on the label.

"Although this product includes precautionary allergen labelling for soya,it is undeclared in the ingredients list and may pose a risk to people with an allergy to soya."
