Batch of popular cheese sold in Ireland recalled over metal pieces fear

A batch of Lailand Fromage Chilal cheese is being recalled due to fears there may be metal pieces inside.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said that point-of-sale recall notices will be shown in stores supplied with the implicated batch.

The product orignates from France and is labelled Lailand Fromage Chilal (pâte filée); pack size: 250g;.

The batch code is 043: Lailand Fromage Chilal (pâte filée); pack size: 250g.

A spokesman for the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: "A batch of Lailand Fromage Chilal cheese is being recalled due to the possible presence of metal pieces.

"Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch."
