Batch of Denny Black Pudding sold across Ireland recalled over choking fears

A black pudding product which is sold across Ireland has been recalled due to choking fears.

A batch of Denny Black Pudding is being taken off the shelves as it's a "possible choking hazard".

The 199gram product, with a use by date of July 17, may contain small pieces of blue pastic.

A Food Safety Authority of Ireland statement said: "Denny is recalling Denny Black Pudding 199g (use by date 17/07/2019) as this batch may contain small pieces of blue plastic.

"No other products are affected by this recall. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores where the products are sold."

Consumers are being advised not to consume the batch, while businesses have been told to display a point-of-sale recall notice.

Meanwhile, Iceland has recalled its 60 Crispy Chicken Dippers.

A statement said: "Iceland is recalling its 60 Crispy Chicken Dippers as some packs may contain pieces of hard plastic.

"The presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat."
