The basic income for artists pilot scheme is set to launch tomorrow at 1pm.
Applications will be accepted from tomorrow at the link, gov.ie/BasicIncomeArts.
The scheme will run for a total of three years and will examine the impact a basic income will have on artists and other creatives.

The rate of payment will be €325 per week.
The basic income scheme will be open to 2000 artists in total who will be selected at random.
It will remain open to applications until 1pm on Thursday, May 12.
"I believe that this scheme is the start of a fundamental change in the way Ireland supports and recognises her artists and arts community," Minister Catherine Martin said.
"The idea for the Basic Income for the Arts pilot arose as the number one recommendation from the Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce, which I established in 2020 in response to the devastation wreaked by the Covid pandemic on our arts sector."
"Personally I am privileged to be the Minister in a positon to deliver this pilot and to have secured the Government’s commitment for a three year basic income pilot scheme for the arts."
