Barry Sanders has some fun with the Buccaneers adding Brady and Gronk

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting older. In their quest to surround 42-year-old Tom Brady with more talent, the Bucs called legendary Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski out of retirement to join the team. The Pats agreed and now Gronk joins Brady in Tampa Bay.

That got the wheels turning. What other retired stars could the Buccaneers lure back to the gridiron?

One of the natural answers was Lions legend Barry Sanders. The Hall-of-Fame running back retired in his prime, after all.

When approached on Twitter about it, Sanders good-naturedly put the comedic notion to rest. He also proved he’s still pulling for his old team in Detroit to thrive.
