Barry McGuigan gets emotional as he opens up about daughter's death

Barry McGuigan has spoken about the death of his daughter Danika after a short battle with cancer.

Viewers of the Tommy Tiernan show on RTÉ last night were left in tears after the boxing legend's appearance on the show. He opened up about his grief and said his life would never be the same again.

Barry told Tommy that crying doesn't make you any less of a man.

He said: "My life will go on but I'll never be the same.

"It was just shocking".

Danika was best known for her role in the RTÉ series 'Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope'. She was just 33-years-old when she passed away in 2019 following a short battle with colon cancer.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to applaud the former boxer for his honesty and bravery.
