Barry Loser: I am Still Not a Loser by Jim Smith - review

Jim Smith, I am still not a Loser (Barry Loser)

This book is written like a diary and the main character is Barry, who talked about his granny being a girlfriend of one of his teachers (quite old). It is also like a long story and every day has a title. I will write about my favourite one called Million Thumb Barry:

It was nearly Halloween so Barry decided to dress up as a scotch egg man in Feekos (a shop). The costume was made by putting Barry's sweets, which looked like thumbs, on his nose and hands. When the doorbell rang Barry remembered he had invited some guests. His mum went to open the door. It opened with a crack and there was Anton (Barry's friend) with his mum and Invis (Anton's invisible friend) outside the door. Barry's mum invited them in and gave to all of them a golden toffee apple. Only Anton wasn't dressed up for Halloween. So Barry, as a good friend, decided to help him with it. He began by drawing one million and one dots on Anton's face. Suddenly another idea came into Barry's head. He sellotaped two burnt sausages to the top of Anton's glasses. The sausages were meant to be eyebrows. Anton was ready now so they set off to go 'trick or treating.'

I would really recommend this book. If you like hilarious, amazing and outstanding stories this book is just for you.
