Barry Keoghan appears to confirm split with long-time girlfriend 15 months after they welcomed child together

Barry Keoghan appears to have confirmed his split from his long-term girlfriend Alyson Kierans.

The Irish Oscar-nominated actor, 31, and Miss Sandro are reported to have gone their separate ways 15 months after they welcomed their first child together, a son called Brando.

Keoghan, who won a BAFTA for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin, met dentist Alyson in a London bar back in February 2021. They made their red carpet debut later that year.He is now believed to have moved on with American actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter, 24, who bares a passing resemblance to his ex.

Carpenter is the niece of Nancy Cartwright, who is best known for her long-running role as the voice of Bart Simpson on The Simpsons.

In an interview with GQ magazine, the Saltburn star was asked about reports that he and Sandro had parted.

He said: "She's [Sandro] done a great job, and she's an incredible mother". The publication noted that he offered no further information on the split.

One thing he did elaborate further on was fatherhood, saying he felt an "enormous amount of pressure" to be a good dad.

He added: "I can’t get the little boy off my mind. It’s beautiful. Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world.

"That’s the effect he has on me. He smiles at you and you’re like, "Wow, you're smiling at me like that? I don't deserve that, but anyways, thanks."
