Barry Ferguson reveals Kyogo concern for Celtic but insists Rangers won't suffer same issue

Barry Ferguson reckons Rangers' squad depth means they can cope with the loss of Ianis Hagi - but isn't so confident about Celtic and Kyogo.

Ibrox star Hagi tested positive for Covid-19 on international duty with Romania and could miss as many as five matches for his club.

Kyogo, meanwhile, limped out of Japan's win over China clutching his knee on Wednesday.

The former Vissel Kobe star has been a sensation since being snapped up by Ange Postecoglou and Ferguson reckons Celtic could struggle to cope if he's ruled out for any length of time.

But the Rangers legend is satisfied his old club have more than enough to cover Hagi's absence.

He told Go Radio: "I think Rangers could deal with Hagi but Kyogo is Celtic's best player.

"You see the start to the season he's had, I think it's six goals he's scored. I don't think they have anybody to replace him.

"In terms of Hagi, I think Rangers have players who could come in to that position and play no problem."
