Rangers legend Barry Ferguson reckons it's time that nephew Lewis moved on from Aberdeen as the midfielder's transfer saga rumbles on.
Last week the 21-year-old handed in a transfer request as the Dons hierarchy rejected a bid from Watford before branding the offer "insulting".
Ferguson's agent then proceeded to claim Pittodrie chiefs had broken a "gentleman's agreement" that he'd be able to move south if a satisfactory approach cropped up.
His uncle, Rangers hero Barry, isn't sure if a transfer request was really the way to go about it, though he concedes there's a chance that was the player's representatives talking.

But he's adamant it's time Ferguson stepped it up having come on leaps and bounds since his emergence at Hamilton Accies.
He told Go Radio's Football Show: "Now is the time for Lewis to kick his career on.
"Is it the right thing he's done, putting a transfer request in? I'm not too sure, if he'd have just went and spoke to them...
"But listen, players have got agents, agents dictate at times.
"My honest opinion, it's time that Lewis moved on to the next level.
"I think he's done his apprenticeship. He did his time at Hamilton, got his move, and he's been a regular at Aberdeen for three seasons, at a good level.
"I think it's time for him to go to the next level and kick on again."
