Barry Ferguson has laughed off talk that his former Rangers teammate Kevin Muscat will be named as Celtic assistant boss.
Reports in Australia has claimed that the former Ibrox defender was being lined up to join Ange Postecoglou 's backroom team next season.
However, Parkhead sources have told Record Sport that Muscat will be nowhere near the massive summer overhaul.
Former teammate Ferguson wasn't having any of it either as he offered an insight into Muscat potentially crossing the Glasgow divide.
When asked about the controversial move on The Go Radio Football Show, Ferguson laughed: “Yes, and ex-teammate of mine obviously at Rangers; I don’t know if there is much truth in that but I do know they know each other, but I don’t know how that is going to work."
Ferguson reckons there is only one man who will be guaranteed to be working alongside the former Australia boss - John Kennedy.
He continued: “There is worry from the Celtic fans.
"Clearly, pre-season starts on the 17th. He (Postecoglou) is not going to arrive until Thursday night, Friday, if he does sign, then he will miss the first three days of pre-season.

“That is the most important part of the season.
“The other thing is he has not got his coaching licence. So that means somebody on his backroom team who has the pro-licence.
“John Kennedy has that so I could see him maybe staying.”
